Big BIG changes

Follow your bliss.  That’s what I’ve been saying all along.

Sometimes you don’t even know what your bliss is.  It just comes knocking and you recognize it when it arrives.

So when an opportunity to own and operate a beautiful bed and breakfast arrived at my door step, I welcomed it with open arms!  My family and I are so ecstatic about this new adventure.  We can’t wait to pour our creativity into this new endeavor.

But with every change, there is a downside.  I will no longer be able to devote my time to Ballyhoo Bath and give it the full attention it deserves.  So I’m putting the Ballyhoo Bath shop on hiatus for now.  Many of the shampoos and conditioners will continue to be available through my friend Shannon at her Scenter Square shop.  She also has a full selection of soaps, lotions, haircare and candles in her shop so customers should find plenty of goodies.

I will continue to blog about crafts and swaps on this DuhBe blog, but I will definitely be slowing down on crafting while I’m in full “prepare the B&B” mode.  I will also have a blog for the Bed & Breakfast, so hopefully some of you will follow me over there and keep up with the new adventures!

I just wanted to let my dear readers and friends know why this blog is slowing down, because some of you have worried about me when I slow down on posting (you are SO sweet for that!)

And I also want everybody to know that patience and good karma really DO payoff.

I started this blog 5 years ago not knowing how I could financially survive in a creative field.  Now I know it can all work out.

Follow your bliss.

It’s not an easy road to follow, and there will be bumps that make you want to turn back.  But stay on your path and you will be OK.  Ignore the naysayers.  Follow YOUR dreams.  And PLEASE share your stories on how things work out in your story.  Other people need to hear it and know it can be done!  Leave a comment below if you want to share your dreams, your bliss, and how you’re getting to where you want to be.

What!? That is so wild, Luci! Best of luck to you and your family. Our one experience at a B&B was for our honeymoon and we really enjoyed it – the owner made us feel so at home. We were actually just remembering the grape jelly they served, made from the fruit growing in the yard!
