Getting published in Sew Somerset

Author: duhbe  //  Category: My Creative Path

ameoba artistExcuse me while I “w00t!” a bit.

Remember the little amoeba artists that I blogged about?

I heard back from Stampington Press and they plan to publish my amoeba artist piece in their Summer 2010 issue of Sew Somerset, in the gallery section.  I love that magazine, so I’m quite pleased.

All together now… “W00t!!”

I need to finish my studio renovation so I can create more stuff.  My goal was 4 magazine submissions this year.  On that note, I’m off to paint the ceiling and install a gaudy chandelier.

I guess this means I’m going to have to keep my eyes open at the bookstore for when this hits the shelves. 8:-)

Yay, good for you! It takes guts and effort to make submissions like that – how exciting that it paid off.

Thanks to the w00t link, too. Didn’t realize its D&D origins. : )

    Thank you ladies.

Oh, and don’t buy the magazine for my sake – it’s a $15 mag. But it’s worth it for all the inspiring ideas and techniques from all the contributers. But them I’m addicted to all the Somerset magazines so I’m biased.
