Toot, toot! (that’s the sound of my own horn I’m tooting on)
The screenshot below is the front page of Etsy from last Thursday. See the 3rd column, 2nd row? That’s my neck ruff perched upon my daughter’s neck.

After selling on Etsy for over a year, it’s still nice to finally get some front page love. I gave up on it a long time ago. So the reward is even sweeter now. (I’m feeling like Sally Field with her “you like me, you really like me” speech. Maybe because the Oscars are next week?)
My lips are getting numb, so I’ll stop tooting that horn now.

Well done you! Does Etsy notify you when that happens?
It must feel great to have so many eyes on your work!

Cool! My daddy always said that if you don’t toot your own horn no one else will do it for you. I’m still working on applying that philosophy to myself.

You ladies are so sweet to cheer me on the way you do. Thanks!
Charissa – Etsy does NOT tell you about front page. I signed up for a tool that should have notified me, but it didn’t. I noticed increased shop views in Google Analytics, and could see the increase came from within Etsy so I figured front page or something and found it in the Flickr archives of Etsy front page screen captures. I think it’s kinda sad that so much detective work is needed to figure this stuff out. Being featured in Etsy’s daily email is worse – you get like 1000 shop views and GA just sees it as an email link. Crazy stuff.

Congrats to you!!! I’m almost certain that statsy.org emails me & automatically posts on my facebook page when I snag a front page, but I deleted the notifications from this last time. I think that I had to sign up for it twice though, because I noticed that it didn’t work at first.

Congratulations, sister!! How exciting to be featured on etsy’s main.

Thanks Kat – I’ll check my Statsy email setting again. I didn’t even think of that yet.
